Flightman, a global leader in the provision of the “Connected Aircraft” through its Electronic Flight Bag Solutions (EFB) to airlines, has signed a global partnership with SITA. The partnership will focus on the synergies that the combined technologies and services of Flightman and SITA can bring to customers.
The Flightman™ EFB Solution Suite allows airlines to achieve optimised regulatory compliance, total operational efficiency, enhanced in-cabin passenger service and revenue opportunities by seamlessly connecting and integrating aircraft within airlines’ IT infrastructure. The company develops Aviation Software Solutions, which are incorporated in a Service to connect the aircraft to company systems and drive productivity and operational improvements.
Joe McGoldrick, CEO of Flightman is convinced that the combined SITA/Flightman solution will fill a major requirements gap in the EFB market place. “Flightman is now established as a world leader in the provision of EFB solutions. We are seeing phenomenal growth in EFB adoption and our goal is to make it as easy as possible for customers to benefit from our solution. Our partnership with SITA provides customers with a seamless engagement model whereby they can progress their EFB projects with the confidence of a relationship with one of the world’s leading Aviation solution providers. Many of our customers already have an established relationship with SITA and new customers see tremendous value in the integration of our Flightman solution with SITA’s leading edge e-Aircraft Application Services.”
The first major SITA/Flightman customer win with Brazilian carrier, GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes, the largest low-cost and low-fare airline in Latin America has also been recently announced. GOL is the launch customer for SITA’s e-Aircraft Application Service. The Flightman™ EFB software and SITA’s data integration software will connect GOL’s fleet of 130 B737 aircraft to their existing ground-based Flight Operations and Maintenance systems. This onboard and ground based EFB software system will enable GOL to efficiently exchange data to or from their aircraft and achieve significant cost savings.
